I’ll keep this short and sweet because no one really cares about my story; the important thing is, do I have the skills to make you an exquisite and effective personal care product?

I have been in the field of Biological Sciences for over a decade and in this time have completed three separate degrees at the University of Manchester culminating in the completion of a 4 year PhD in Neuroscience at the end of 2018.

What does Neuroscience have to do with Cosmetics and Personal Care?

Good question. And the answer is, absolutely nothing, BUT, once you can manipulate live brain neurons with lasers and perform brain surgery, the chemistry that used to scare me greatly suddenly didn’t seem so daunting.

After my studies I decided to challenge myself further and pivot into the chemistry of formulation. With a large amount of book learning and practical experience, I have become adept in multiple aspects of cosmetic science. Up until mid-2023 I served as Scientific Director in a rapidly expanding Personal Care Manufacturing company, which I helped to build from the ground up. I found myself increasingly busy with ‘business-y things’ rather than science so exited the company to focus on cosmetic science as a lone-wolf. A lone-nerd perhaps.
